Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Ocean View Marketing LLC does with personal information collected through oceanviewmarketingllc.com. It describes what this website actually does — not a general description of what a website might do.

What we collect

The only information this site asks you for is what you type into the enquiry form: your email address and the message you write. Nothing else is requested, and there is no account to create.

When you send an enquiry we also record the page you were on when you sent it, so we know what you were reading and can answer usefully.

Your IP address is used for about thirty seconds after a submission to stop the same form being sent repeatedly by automated scripts. It is not stored with your enquiry and it is not kept afterwards.

What we do with it

We use it to reply to you and to carry on that conversation. Enquiries are emailed to us and kept in the website’s records so we can find them again.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share it with advertisers, we do not use it to build a profile of you, and we do not add you to a mailing list because you asked us a question.

Cookies and tracking

This site sets no cookies of its own, and it loads no analytics and no advertising trackers — no Google Analytics, no advertising pixels, no third-party scripts of any kind.

One cookie is set by Cloudflare, the security service in front of the site, named __cf_bm. Its only job is to tell human visitors apart from automated traffic. It expires within the hour and is not used to identify you or to follow you elsewhere.

Who else can see it

Running a website means a small number of companies necessarily handle the data on our behalf:

• GoDaddy — hosts the site and its database, where enquiries are stored.
• Cloudflare — delivers and protects the site, and sees the requests made to it.
• Our email provider — carries the notification of your enquiry to us, and our reply back to you.

Each acts on our instructions for the purpose described. Beyond that, we disclose personal information only if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for as long as they are useful to the relationship they started — typically no more than two years after our last exchange — and then delete them. If you ask us to delete yours sooner, we will.

Your choices

Write to us and you can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Depending on where you live you may have these rights by law; we will honour the request either way. We will not charge you for it and we will not treat you differently for asking.

Security

The site is served over an encrypted connection, enquiries are stored privately rather than published, and access to them is limited to the people who need it. No website can promise perfect security, but we keep what we collect small on purpose — the less there is, the less there is to lose.

Children

This site is for businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us something, tell us and we will remove it.

Links to other sites

Some pages link to travel partners and other outside services. Once you follow one of those links you are on someone else’s site, under their privacy policy, not this one.

Changes to this policy

If we start collecting something new — analytics, for instance, or a newsletter sign-up — we will change this page before we start, and update the date at the top.
